Back Bone – Spine is made of series of vertebral bones with in between cushions called Disc which acts like shock absorbers. Spine starts from skull to tail bone.spinal cord runs through the cenetr of back bone. Neck – Cervical spine MidBack- Thoracic spine Low back- Lumbar spine Xray- Shows bones with in between spaces of disc. It detects spine stiffness and spasms MRI- shows spinal cord and disc hydration It is used to diagnose disc herniation- slipped disc or sciatica. MRI used to diagnose spine fracture tumor infection. MRI is the gold standard investigation to diagnose any spine problem.
